Chili sauce

Ingredients:

1 gallon Chopped ripe tomatoes  
6 Medium onions (2 1/2 cups peeled and chopped)  
6 Red or green peppers, seeded and chopped  
1 1/2 cups Sugar  
2 tbsp Salt  
4 cups Vinegar  
3 tbsp Mixed Spices  
1 tbsp Cloves  

Instructions:

  • Put the 'Ketchup' spice in a small cheese cotton bag.
  • Mix all ingredients and cook in a pot uncovered 2 1/2 to 3 hours or until the liquid is thick. Stir often.
  • Remove the spice bag. Pour into sterilized jars and seal.
