Spicy vinegar beets

Ingredients:

15 Beets
To taste White vinegar
1 tsp. Thyme
1 Bay leaf
8 Cloves
8 Whole grains of pepper

Instructions:

  • Wash beets.
  • Cook thoroughly in boiling water then peel.
  • Slice and put into a bowl.
  • Add previously heated vinegar and spiced into bowl.
  • Allow to rest for 1 night.
  • Remove and reheat vinegar until it boils.
  • Put beets into sterilised glass jars.
  • Pour hot vinegar and spices in glass jars.
  • Seal jars.
